As the medium of watercolour is very involved technically, the first half of the workshop will focus on basic brush techniques and establishing a good understanding of the materials, differing styles of painting and colour mixing in the outdoor environment. Demonstration will be supported with generous one-on-one attention. The class will paint seascape in the morning and streetscape in the afternoon, as each subject requires a different technical approach. The afternoon portion will also include instruction in composition. Open to beginners or experienced artists.
