All tours are guided by experienced volunteer guides, and the boat is crewed by local fisherman who have lived their lives on the water, the fishermen also make themselves available to answer any questions you may have about life in Lockeport, or the fishing they have done!
The Packages available are shown bellow, the Tours are not scheduled for any specific day, however a tour can be conducted with 24 hours notice, and the prices are estimates based on having 4 people onboard.
We pride ourselves on offering an authentic experience on the water, so we load and unload from the commercial wharf, however if you are unable to climb a ladder we can have a floating wharf for you to board from.

Justified Expense is a Cape Island Style boat that was constructed locally in Shelburne county, it is a sturdy and safe seagoing vessel that represents the latest iteration of a design that has been refined over the last hundred years.

The Lighthouses | ||

A Tour for those on a restricted schedule. The most basic package involves a trip around the Ragged Islands area that focuses on our 2 lighthouses, Carter’s Island and Gull Rock, Seals, dolphins and whales can be spotted on occasion alongside Common Sea birds but nature is not a central focus of this tour. | ||

Cruise the This tour is ideal for the nature lover, we leave the harbour and pass carter’s island light, we follow a rock ledge up the bay, a common resting and feeding area for the Common Harbour Seal. We the proceed to the sea bird nesting area on the cliffs of ram island, Puffins, Cormorants, Guillemots and Eider Ducks are likely to be spotted on this section of the tour. As we make our way back in the harbour dolphins and sunfish are often spotted. | ||
